By accessing PizzaOvenCalc.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. These terms apply to every page, calculator, chart and guide here.

What the site provides

Free calculators, reference charts, method guides and researched product guidance about pizza dough and pizza ovens. It is provided for general informational purposes. It is not professional instruction, engineering advice, gas-fitting advice or food-safety instruction, and no professional or advisory relationship is created by your use of it.

Your equipment manufacturer's documentation governs the operation of your equipment. Where anything on this site conflicts with that documentation, follow the documentation.

Accuracy and availability

We take accuracy seriously and publish the working behind our figures so it can be checked, but we make no warranty that the content is complete, current or error free. Specifications change, manufacturers revise products between model years, prices move constantly, and models are discontinued without notice.

We may change, remove or add content at any time without notice, and we do not guarantee that the site will be available uninterrupted or error free. If you find an error, report it through the contact page and we will correct it.

Acceptable use

You may read, print and personally use anything here. You may link to any page. You may not:

• Republish substantial portions of the content as your own, in any medium.
• Scrape, harvest or bulk-copy the site or its data files for republication or resale.
• Use the site or its content to train a commercial model without permission.
• Attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the site.
• Use any automated system in a way that imposes an unreasonable load on the infrastructure.

Quoting a figure with attribution and a link is welcome and is the reason the tables here are written to be quotable.

Product names, brand names and logos referenced here are the property of their respective owners, and their use on this site is descriptive and does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement by those owners.

User-supplied information

If you send us a message, a correction or a specification, you confirm that you are entitled to share it and you grant us permission to use it to improve the site. We may act on a correction without attribution unless you ask otherwise. Do not send confidential information through the contact form, which is delivered by ordinary email.

Calculators

The calculators on this site run entirely in your browser and are provided without warranty as to fitness for any particular purpose. They implement standard baker's percentage arithmetic and published fermentation and bake-time approximations. You are responsible for checking that a result is sensible before acting on it, and every calculator displays its own check line so that you can.

Do not rely on any figure here where the consequence of an error would be significant, including but not limited to commercial food production, catering for people with allergies, or any situation involving equipment operating outside its manufacturer's stated limits.

Quoting and citing this site

You are welcome to quote a figure, a table row or a definition from this site with attribution and a link back to the page it came from. The reference tables here are deliberately written to be quotable, and being cited is a compliment rather than a problem.

What is not permitted is republishing a page or a substantial part of one as your own content, reproducing a whole table without attribution, or bulk-extracting the data files behind the calculators and the oven specifications for republication or resale. Those data compilations represent the bulk of the work here.

Product information and third-party trademarks

Product names, model numbers, brand names and logos referenced on this site belong to their respective owners. Their use here is descriptive, for the purpose of identifying and comparing products, and does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from those owners. No manufacturer has editorial input into this site.

Specifications are reproduced from published manufacturer information and are believed accurate at the time of writing. Manufacturers revise specifications without notice. Confirm any figure against the current documentation for your exact model before relying on it, particularly dimensions, weights and clearances.

Email capture and the lists

Submitting an email address through a build guide is voluntary and is a request to be sent that build. Doing so does not create any obligation on our part beyond sending it and honouring an unsubscribe, and it does not entitle you to any service. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, including the first, and unsubscribing removes the address.

The contact form and the build-list forms are handled by third parties, FormSubmit and Google Forms respectively, and are subject to those providers' terms as well as these. What we do with an address is set out in the privacy policy.

Automated access and model training

Ordinary crawling by search engines is welcome and is how most people find this site. What is not permitted is bulk extraction of the content or the underlying data compilations for republication, resale, or commercial model training. The oven specification data and the calculator logic represent the substantial part of the work here and are the parts most likely to be scraped.

Citing a figure with attribution and a link is expressly permitted and encouraged. The difference between citation and appropriation is whether a reader can follow the reference back to the source, and the tables on this site are written to be quoted that way.

Prices, availability and build totals

Every price shown on this site was accurate at the time the page was compiled and is presented for comparison rather than as an offer. We are not the seller of any product mentioned, we set no prices, and we take no part in any transaction. Build totals are arithmetic sums of the listed prices at compile time and will drift from current prices, sometimes substantially.

Any contract of sale is between you and the retailer. Delivery, returns, warranty and consumer rights are entirely matters for that retailer and for the applicable law, and nothing on this site varies them.

No guarantee of results

Following anything on this site does not guarantee a particular pizza. Flour brands vary batch to batch, ambient conditions vary, ovens vary, and technique is a motor skill that takes practice. The figures here describe what usually happens and are a starting point to adjust from rather than a specification your kitchen is obliged to meet.

Termination

We may restrict or terminate access to this site for anyone who breaches these terms, including by scraping, by attempting to interfere with the site, or by imposing an unreasonable load on the infrastructure. These terms survive any such termination to the extent necessary.
